The Graduate Program in Education – PPGEDUC – of the Academic Unit of Education of the Federal University of Goiás makes up the offer of stricto sensu courses at Campus Catalão/Regional Catalão. This program was evaluated and recommended by the CAPES National Postgraduate System in December 2010 and its activities began in 2011.
The proposal of the Master's Course has Education as an area of concentration and its objective is to deepen the knowledge of professionals working in education, as well as to train researchers in the area.
The implementation of the Graduate Program in Education - PPGEDUC - is closely linked to the history of the Graduate Course in Pedagogy, which for twenty-five years has been providing training in Pedagogy and subsidizing the training of graduates in Letters, History, Geography , Physical Education, Chemistry, Biology, Social Sciences, Psychology and Mathematics of the Catalan Region of the Federal University of Goiás - CAC/UFG, through the offer of pedagogical subjects, which are mandatory in the degrees.
From the appointment of the Pro Tempore Dean of the Federal University of Catalão/UFCAT, through MEC Ordinance No. PPGEDUC is still linked to UFG.
